The American companies are like a child prodigy wanting to win the Nobel Prize or AGI — where the Chinese companies are more like a study group.
“If there's a three to twelve months difference - whatever AGI means - maybe Anthropic, maybe OpenAI gets there first, but others will be there in the next three to twelve months. There is no AGI event where one company squashes everyone else.
“The phone is not the right AI device. The right AI device must be speech driven, always on, always listening, with infinite memory, and becoming invisible.
“Data will be the new oil — and I think we're now going back to see who can capture more video and audio.
“It's akin to iPhone and Android — the American models are like iPhone, highly profitable... but the share the American models lost are not really very profitable.
“This war has already changed the geopolitical equations in a manner that favors China, that favors Russia.
